The Book Buddies are at it again this school year in Ms. Parker's and Mrs. Iwen's classrooms! This year is shaping up to be a real "page-turner," as these kiddos form friendships over good books and interesting conversations. Introducing one of our trombonist in the show, Robbie! Robbie is a senior, and this is his second year in the pit. Outside of the musical,, Robbie enjoys traveling, being a part of the school's pep band, and spending time with his family and friends. Robbie would like to say thank you to his parents, who always support him in everything he does, the cast, crew, and fellow pit members, for helping to make this musical possible, and a big thank you to Ms. Trewin, who encouraged him to get involved in the musical in the first place. Meet Owen, today's featured actor in the "Cast and Crew Member Spotlight". Owen plays Gaston, and this is his first ever musical! Outside of the musical, Owen enjoys playing basketball and baseball. When asked, "If you could be an item in the Enchanted Castle, what would you be?", he answered, "a wrench"! Westfield Elementary PTO wrapped up their Emil's fundraiser and presented each classroom's top seller with a cash prize. The PTO would like to thank everyone for their support. #Pioneers

Last week our students celebrated Unity Day by wearing orange to support kindness and speak out against bullying. Our youngest students at Oxford Elementary were excited to join the cause! #Pioneers

CONGRATULATIONS to the Westfield Pioneer Girls Cross Country Team as they clinched the SCC Conference Title yet again! HS Girls: 2nd Team All Conference Honors were earned by Halle (14th), Claire (13), Libbie (11th), Hope (10th), and Ava (8th). 1st Team All Conference Honors earned by Haddie (2nd). On October 8th, select members of Concert Choir attended the UW-Platteville High School Choral Festival. At this festival, students learned 4 pieces of music, and sang with singers from high schools across the state. At the end of the day, they gave a concert of the music they had prepared. Shout out to senior choir member Alyssa who has been selected to participate in this festival all four years of high school! #Pioneers

Today, the cast member spotlight shines on Arianna! Arianna is a freshman playing the Lady with the Babies. She was last seen in Westfield's production of "The Addams Family", and Montello's "We Will Rock You" and "Newsies". Outside of the musical, she enjoys wrestling, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track. When she was asked "If you could be an item in the Enchanted Castle, what would you be?", Arianna answered, "earrings"! She would like to thank her Dad for always being her inspiration and her sister for forcing her to stick with the musicals and choir. You may have last seen her as Tabitha Cincannon in "Murder at the Art Gallery" or on stage crew in "The Addams Family". Beauty and the Beast will be the 4th musical she has been in. Outside of the musical Maddy enjoys singing, reading, and annoying Patrick.
